Lemberger, or Blaufränkisch, as it is known in Austria and Hungary thrives in the Finger Lakes of New York. 

Tasting Notes: This wine displays lively blueberry fruit tones, with a subtle salty smokiness reminicent of bacon or smoked pork belly. The wine wraps up with a lovely floral herbaceousness similar to violet flower, dried rose, and fresh thyme. 

Perfect with hamburgers or just about anything you want to throw down on the backyard charcoal grill! Don't sleep on the grilled pineapple.
