From the storied gravel-soils of the Château Brane‑Cantenac in the Margaux appellation, the 2016 Baron de Brane presents itself with a deep garnet hue and an inviting aromatic bouquet of brambly red fruits—think cherries, plums and blackberries—woven together with cedar, pencil shavings and a whisper of florals. On the palate it is medium-bodied yet well-structured: supple tannins hold the fruit in check while the mid-palate reveals darker shades—subtle leather, brown spices and graphite undercurrents—leading into a finish that is both refined and persistent.  Harmonious and graceful, it captures the elegant side of a Left-Bank Bordeaux, delivering the seamless texture and fragrant charm Margaux is celebrated for.  The blend is 65% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc.
